Hanover Pool House 2016

Respecting the Heritage and National Trust listed existing red brick building, this pool and pool house development uses traditional materials, pointed brickwork and painted solid timber, to create a modernist installation in the rear grassed yard. The finished product is a low lying sculptural juxtaposition of traditional and modern building forms.

Although simple and beautiful, the project is used by a large family of young children and thus is tough, practical and maintenance friendly.

Thanks to Jackman Builders for their precision and patience and to the clients for their willingness to have an open dialogue with MGAI throughout the design and construction process.
